The Kuhlenschmidt Family in Ohio

The Kuhlenschmidt family in Cleveland, Ohio is descended from Gerhardt Kuhlenschmidt who was born on August 15, 1858, in Wimmer, Hannover, Germany. After coming to the United States he married Katherine Purrenhage. Five children, Pauline, Victor, Edward, Alfred, and Walter, resulted from this marriage. Descendents of Gerhardt and Katherine live in Ohio and California.

Gerhardt Kuhlenschmidt had a sister named Mary. She married Ernest Teckemeyer and had a son named Frank (1886-1889). Frank in turn, married Rose Meyer and they had two daughters, Elva and Carol.
